Waiting

Waiting...
Patience is a virtue,
A fruit of the Spirit…
A gift from God,
A time to lie fallow,
Waiting for gentle rains and time
To complete the work in progress,
A time to prepare,
A time to grow.
A time to wait upon the Lord
And see the good works He has planned for you....
But sometimes we make it,
As we often do God’s gifts,
into something bad.
Sometimes,
We use waiting
As a disinclination
To walk further in faith.
Sometimes,
We use waiting
As a time to stagnate,
To actually regress.
Sometimes…
Sometimes,
We use waiting
As a time to fear.
But there is no fear in love.
Waiting is active, not passive!
A time to grow, a time to be,
Not a time of not-being.
So I stand,
Waiting.
Isaiah 40:31 [KJV]
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
